High performance graphics software renders this scene easily, even on low end phones, with WebGL enabled browsers. The Mars scene was prepared with 3ds Max, then rendered to a cubic view. Sides of the cubic view were mapped, in cross format, to the inside of a cube, allowing this scene to display with just twenty four vertices and one texture map.
