Logo Versus Symbol
Often people use the term logo
instead of symbol
.
However logo
usually involves a brand's name in a specific font separate from, or along with,
a standalone symbol
. For example the text which says Nike
,
can stand apart from the well known Nike, swoosh
. The Nike swoosh
represents Nike
quickly and easily, apart
from the text.
The swoosh
alone is the symbol. The Nike
text is the logo.
